How is automated transcription from Ubiqus On Demand different from off-the-shelf tools?
There are many machine transcription and translation tools on the market. Most of them rely on technology that transcribes what it thinks was just said and then moves on to the next word.
Our ASR tool does the same thing, but in a more predictive way.
- First, it breaks the audio file into smaller segments, focusing on the portions when someone is speaking.
- Next, it creates a list of possible syllables in each segment and rescores them to determine which sounds are most likely to form an accurate sentence.
- The tool uses this analysis to continue transcribe audio to text, one segment at a time, creating a transcript based on its prior learning.
