Tips for the correct use of the automatic quote tool

Number of speakers on the audio

Remember to count all the people who are speak at one time or another on the recording.
Our pricing depends on the number of speakers, thus any omission or alteration of the number of participants could lead to a new invoice and/or delay in the processing of the order. That would be a shame.
If you were not present at the time of recording, try to get the information from someone present or if not, select “5 or more” from the list.
The simplest cases:
Digital dictation: 1 speaker.
Interview, one-on-one meeting: in theory, 2 speakers.
Meeting, round table, presentation:  the number of guests speaking on the recording.

Audio quality

Telephone: if it is the recording of a telephone conversation (call centre or Skype call). This does not include a recording made using a mobile phone.
Professional: this is a recording made by a sound production unit or in a professional recording studio. This could be the sound file that you retrieved from the technician who operated the microphones of your round table or board. Professional-quality audio often means that every speaker had a microphone.
Common: all other recordings.

Terminology

Our pricing depends on the complexity of the recording. Be sure to select the type of terminology carefully, as any omission or error could result in a new invoice and/or delay in processing the order. That would be a shame.
General: common or garden, everyday subjects. A scientific, technical or medical article aimed at a popular audience also falls into this category.
Scientific: subjects related to pure theoretical science. This terminology covers recordings of conferences, presentations, colloquia, expert reports, etc. in all scientific fields: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, humanities, agronomy, earth and space sciences, information and communication sciences and technologies, etc.
Technical: subjects related to the practical applications of science. This terminology covers recordings of conferences, presentations, colloquia, expert reports, etc. in all technical fields: the automotive sector, aeronautics, construction, consulting, electronics, energy, environment, engineering, logistics, mechanics, production, transport, etc.
Medical: medical or pharmaceutical subjects.

Strong accent

Our pricing depends on the complexity of the recording. Be sure to check this box if one or more speakers on the audio speak with a regional French accent or a pronounced foreign accent. By trying to be objective, and by acting as a neutral observer. Any omission or error could lead to a new invoice and/or delay in the processing of the order. That would be a shame.

Time code

Our pricing depends on the complexity of the recording as well as the options you request. Times codes are temporal markers added to the document every 5 minutes during a word-for-word transcription.
